Fusion Quickstart

System Requirements:

​

  • Fusion requires an iOS device running iOS 16.0 or newer

​

  • Pairing Fusion with Bluetooth requires either an iOS device running iOS 16.0, or a Mac computer running Mac OS X Yosemite (10.10) or newer

How to get started - Main features

  1. Menu button (bottom right) - press to expand the Main Menu

  2. Quick settings - select a visualizer and change your background preferences. MIDI users can select their MIDI input sources (phone, Apple watch, XY pad) 

  3. Visualizer configuration - customize and configure the visualizers by selecting from various input control sources (phone motion, Apple Watch, XY pad, audio from microphone)

  4. MIDI input sources - tap to select and map (solo) your MIDI input sources (e.g iphone & Apple watch motion, XY pad) 

  5. Touch pad - tap on the screen to enable the XY control pad

  6. Settings - go to settings to find advanced MIDI and visual control options. 

  7. Connect MIDI - connect your device via MIDI Bluetooth, USB or WIFI. Go to settings > Configure MIDI settings > Bluetooth MIDI. See instructions under “Fusion Connectivity” for how to connect Fusion to your Mac via Bluetooth BLE, USB or WIFI.

Apple Watch

Apple Watch Connection

  1. If you own an Apple Watch with OS 8.0 or greater you can connect it to the Fusion application and use it as an input source  to control the visuals.

    • Watch sensor values include: Heart rate, Crown and Motion: Tilt, Roll, Pan

  2. The Apple Watch can also be used to send MIDI data to your favourite DAW or MIDI compatible software (Note: Heart rate sends a MIDI note value)​

  3. The Apple Watch MIDI data is sent by your iPhone to your Mac. See instructions under “Fusion Connectivity” for how to connect Fusion to your Mac via Bluetooth BLE, USB or WIFI.

  1. Fusion can send MIDI information from your phone, iPAD or Apple Watch to your Mac and favourite MIDI compatible software via Bluetooth, USB or WIFI.  See detailed instructions under “Fusion Connectivity”
