Enable Pairing in Midimo

Midimo 
Connectivity

System Requirements:

​

  • Midimo requires an iOS device running iOS 14.3 or newer

​

  • Pairing Midimo with Bluetooth requires either an iOS device running iOS 14.3, or a Mac computer running Mac OS X Yosemite (10.10) or newer

Enable Pairing in Midimo

  1. Tap the Bluetooth icon in the top left corner of the app

  2. Tap the name field to give your phone a recognizable name

  3. Tap “Advertise MIDI Service” to enable Bluetooth MIDI from Midimo. You may have to allow Midimo to control your Bluetooth settings

  4. You are now able to pair Midimo with your Mac or other iOS device!

* Bluetooth MIDI Advertising may time-out if your screen turns off. Ensure your screen is on and “Advertise MIDI Service” is still checked on before attempting to pair Midimo.

Pair with Mac via Bluetooth

  1. Open the “Audio MIDI Setup” Mac Application. Open Spotlight (CMD+Spacebar) then type “Audio MIDI Setup”

  2. If the “MIDI Studio” window is not visible, open it using the Window menu or by pressing CMD+2

  3. Click the Bluetooth icon in the top bar of the MIDI Studio window (Do not click “Advertise” on your Mac – this will prevent you from seeing your device)

  4. If Midimo is advertising MIDI service, you should see your device name appear in the “Bluetooth Configuration” window. Click “Connect” to connect

  5. Midimo will now be available as a control surface for your software!

  6. To disconnect, re-open the “MIDI Studio” window inside the “Audio MIDI Setup” application, Click the Bluetooth icon in the top bar of the MIDI Studio window, click “Disconnect” beside your device name.

Pair with Mac via WIFI

  1. Ensure your device is on the same WiFi network as Midimo

  2. Open the “Audio MIDI Setup” Mac Application. Open Spotlight (CMD+Spacebar) then type “Audio MIDI Setup”

  3. If the “MIDI Studio” window is not visible, open it using the View menu

  4. Click the globe icon in the top bar

  5.  Click the + icon below the “My Sessions” Section

  6. Change the Session name to something easily recognizable – this name will appear in your software as the MIDI device

  7. Click the checkmark beside your session name, or the Enable box in the “Session” section of the window

  8. Select your device name from the Directory view, and click Connect

  9. Your device should now appear in the Participants window

  10. You can now use Midimo with your computer via WIFI connection!

  1. Connect your device to your Mac via USB

  2. Open the “Audio MIDI Setup” Mac Application. Open Spotlight (CMD+Spacebar) then type “Audio MIDI Setup”

  3. Open the Audio Devices window (Window Menu or CMD+1)

  4. You should see your device appear in the Audio Devices window

  5. Click “Enable” beside your device name

  6. Open Midimo

  7. You should now be able to use Midimo with your Mac!
